I am a qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist with experience in working successfully with individuals from many different backgrounds on a wide range of issues.
My main approach to therapeutic work is integrative. I work with a number of different approaches and use a skills set from all in order to meet the individual needs of my clients. Through my counselling work I have met clients who have experienced a broad range of different and complex issues. These have included: depression, anxiety, stress, drug and alcohol dependency, domestic violence, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, coming to terms with bereavement and loss, coping with lifestyle changes, suicidal feelings, sexuality and work related problems.
My past experience includes working with people with drug and alcohol misuse issues at NHS Drug and Alcohol Treatment Consortium in Southwest London. I have also worked in schools with parents who have faced many challenges as well as at Place2Be where I counselled primary school age children.
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, Certificates in Counselling Skills and Counselling Studies, all awarded by the CPCAB (Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body). I have also completed advanced specialist training with CRUSE Bereavement Care, a course accredited by The National Counselling Society. I am a registered member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) whereby I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to their Professional Conduct Procedure.
I live local to my Clapham practice and I’m passionate about counselling those who would benefit from my services across Clapham, Balham, Tooting, and SW London.
