I am a qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist with experience in working successfully with individuals from many different backgrounds on a wide range of issues.
My main approach to therapeutic work is integrative. I work with number of different approaches and use a skills set from all in order to meet the individual needs of my clients. Through my counselling work I have met clients who have experienced a broad range of different and complex issues. These have included: depression, anxiety, stress, drugs and alcohol dependency, domestic violence, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, coming to terms with bereavement and loss, coping with lifestyle changes, suicidal feelings, sexuality and work related problems.
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, Certificates in Counselling Skills and Counselling Studies, all awarded by the CPCAB (Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body). I am also a registered member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) whereby I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to their Professional Conduct Procedure.
Alongside my private practice, I also provide counselling services to NHS Drug and Alcohol Treatment Consortium in Southwest London and Place2Be where I counsel primary school age children. I am committed to ongoing personal and professional development and my work is fully insured.
I live local to my Balham practice and I’m passionate about counselling those who would benefit from my services across Balham, Clapham, Tooting, and SW London.
